Go Fast Sports Berry Energy Drink
The berry Go Fast Sports is a "hybrid energy with Stevia". What an odd thing to put on a label.
Taste
OK, when poured in a glass, the berry one looks just like the regular Go Fast Sports energy drink...and like a plain Red Bull. It does smell a lot like the original one, but slightly muted with berry notes tossed in there. The flavor is combination of the original, unique flavor with a sharp/intense berry note and a lot of Stevia. The berry flavor is a mix of raspberries and strawberries and some other mangled-up berry notes. Not a fan of the Stevia as it gives the entire beverage, and its aftertaste an artificial sweetener flavor. Fortunately, there is a very decent sour bite that helps clean up some of the artificial flavor, but it is not enough.
If you like Stevia and sour beverages, this one is for you.
Energy
The same energy formula is used for this flavor as for the original Go Fast Sports. There are 150 mg of caffeine plus whatever else comes from the added herbs and botanicals.
The kick comes in quick and it is jittery. My body felt energized before my brain was awake. Not a good combination if you are doing mental work, but het, perfect for physical activities. Give it another 5-10 minutes and the brain will slowly start to wake up. Once the active ingredients have been absorbed, I got a good 3 to 4 hours of top notch energy and didn't experience a crash when it all died down.
Scores:
Cost - $2.59
Taste - 7.5/10
Energy - 8.8/10
Overall - 16.3/20...a lot of Stevia, but a great kick
