Red Rain Precipitation Watermelon Energy Drink Review

Well, what do you know, this is the first watermelon flavoured energy drink that has graced the pages of this small blog. Sure I reviewed AriZona Watermelon, BaBoom, and Double Kick all of which are watermelon flavoured, but none were actual energy drinks...this is history in the making guys.

Taste

So does it taste lime watermelon? Hell yeah!

The taste is very sweet, yet sour with a nice citric bite at the end that reminds me of the original Red Rain copy of Red Bull, as well as sucking on a hard watermelon Jolly Rancher. The sweetness does build up a little, but thanks to the sour bite, it never reached heights that bothered me so much.

Energy

It is time for some copypasta:

"There are 142 mg of caffeine in the can, which is a bit less than 80 mg/250 mL (for those looking to compare the content to a standard 250 mL can of Red Bull).

I was expecting the energy to come in the form of a jittery sugar rush, but fortunately the energy came in gradually with no jitters and even provided me with a period of focus and clarity just like advertised on the front of the can. I was pleasantly surprised by this.

I felt awake about 15 minutes after I gulped half of the can and in another 15 I was feeling great even in the gloomy and rainy Saturday morning. The effects lasted for over a couple of hours and then just started to gradually fade away. There was no crash at the end."

Scores:
Cost - $0.99
Taste - 8.8/10
Energy - 8/10

Overall - 16.8/20...that was it folks - first watermelon flavoured energy drink on this blog and it was a damn good one
