Vibe Energy Gum Mint Review

I have had this tube of caffeinated gum for a couple of months now, but never found the time to try them and review them. Today is the day...I hope.

Vibe energy gum comes in an aluminum test tube container with a neat screw top to keep the contents from spilling. There are 10 pieces in the tube and each tube should give you the equivalent amount of caffeine as 5 energy drinks or 5 cups of coffee...which is weird since a regular cup of coffee has more caffeine than the average energy drink...especially when that energy drink looks a lot like a Red Bull.

Taste

This is a sugar free mint gum and does taste like a plain piece of mint gum...at least for a few seconds. Once you chew the piece a few times, the bitterness from the energy ingredients comes out and dominates the taste buds for a good 2-3 minutes. Once the bitterness goes away, the minty, sweet gum taste comes back and it's all good.

Energy

I already mentioned that the tube equals 5 energy drinks and that there are 10 pieces, which means that you have to chew 2 pieces to get a good amount of caffeine. Is that true? Yeah, but even one piece will do the trick for about an hour as I found out. The buzz comes in about 10 to 15 minutes and is pretty solid for the first 40 minutes, but then slowly starts to fade. Yeah, take two pieces if you are buying this gum.

If you haven't figured it out yet, each piece contains around 40 mg of caffeine, which is not too much, but it comes all at once.
