XS Peach Tea Blast Energy Tea Review

Another XS to review, but this time, I picked an energy tea. I really hope the peach gives it a bit more flavour than yesterday's watery Tropical Blast.

Taste

Whoa, waaaay better than the Tropical Blast. This is Green and Black Tea Blend with Peach Flavour which shows itself the moment the liquid touches your tongue. Since it is an energy tea, the drink is not carbonated and because the tea blend used does not have any sugar, there are very little sweeteners added. That makes this sugar free energy tea not so diet-tasting. But lets continue. After the peach flavour comes the heavier black tea which is flavourful, but drowns the green tea. In fact, I was not able to taste any of the green tea present. The aftertaste has a subtle hint of the sugar-free character, but it is mostly dominated by the black tea/peach combo. I am very impressed with this one and I am sad that it is not being sold in stores.

Energy

Unfortunately there is no caffeine content given on the back of the can under the Medicinal Ingredients listing, but that doesn't mean that there isn't any. After all, this is a green and black tea blend. I was not aware of this fact until I drank half the can in a few large gulps and even then I still felt a little jolt after about 10 minutes. I also felt a little jittery, which was very weird. After another 10 minutes I was pretty awake, feeling good and surprised that this actually worked. The buzz lasted for less than an hour and I had to supplement it with a cup of coffee. Overall this is a great tasting energy drink, which lacks the punch.
