Monster Rehab Peach Tea

Monster Rehab Peach Tea is the brand spanking new flavor from the Rehab line, which is now referred to as "Energy Iced Tea". I got a few cans of this from the US (Maryland) as this iced tea is not sold in Canada (yet?...Monster guys? please?). There were promotions everywhere I went and was able to score 2 cans for $4.

Taste

This definitely looks like iced tea with its hazy, brownish color. It also smells and tastes like any peach iced tea I have had....OK, maybe not every iced tea. This iced tea is actually pretty good. There is a burst of sweetness at first, followed by a rich and full peach flavor that is just a little tart. The finish is the right blend between tartness and sweetness with a light peach note. The sweetener presence is almost non-existent throughout the flavor and just pokes its head up in the aftertaste.

Energy

There are 158 mg of caffeine and they are super easy to consume since this beverage is non-carbonated and goes down so quickly on a hot summer morning. I got a boost within 10 minutes and felt awake and starting to quickly focus on what I was doing on the computer. I felt a bit jittery, but it was nothing more than a leg shake once every few minutes.

The caffeine kick was gradual and it fully kicked in within 30 minutes. I felt energized for about 3-4 hours and there was no crash at the end.

Fantastic new product from Monster that I hope comes to the Canadian market soon. This will be the perfect morning drink for the hot summer.

Scores:
Cost - 2 for $4
Taste - 9/10
Energy - 8.3/10

Overall - 17.3/20...great, rich flavor with a decent kick

  1. I found this blog after Googling this product while drinking it. I loved the taste! It was just like any other peach tea, and it perked me right up. It didn't make me too jazzed up, either. I love this drink, it might be my new morning drink (which is usually just Coke or Dr. Pepper).
