Kick Brix Energy Gummies Berry Flavoured Review

I got another bag of energy gummies to review today and this one promises more energy than the Loud Truck Energy Gummies I reviewed a month ago.

Taste

The gummies are square, red and very sticky. Pop one in your mouth and you will discover the bittersweet berry coating. Try biting and you will discover that is more of a jelly than a gummy. Yes, each piece is very soft and not chewy at all. The pieces are very bitter and I was barely able to get through the entire bag. The taste is OK, but it would have been nice for the flavour to be stronger to cover the bitterness. If you were to take the energy ingredients out, I guarantee that the taste will be fantastic.

Energy

I have found that almost all energy products that taste very bitter pack a punch and this is no exception. I just wish the manufacturer stated the caffeine content and not just give a vague comparison: "1 bag = 2 shots". That aside, the gummies take around 15 minutes to kick in and if you are a champ and manage to eat them all at once or in a short period of time, expect a rush. Me? It took me about 20-25 minutes to go through the bag, giving myself small breaks from the bitterness. The energy lasts for a few hours and is pretty solid, but the bitterness is just overwhelming.

Ingredients: corn syrup, sugar, maltodextrin, pectin, citric acid, sodium citrate, natural flavours, colored with black carrot juice concentrate, caffeine, fractionated coconut oil, beeswax, taurine, panax ginseng, cyanocobalamin.

Scores:
Cost -$3.00 for a bag from King of Caffeine
Taste - 3.5/10
Energy - 8/10

Overall - 11.5/20...very bitter, more jelly than gummy, but at least the bag packs a punch
