HiBall Sparkling Energy Water Wild Berry

Aaand, this is the last can of my HiBall stash that I got from Buffalo a few months ago.

Taste

When I stick my nose in a glass of this HiBall Wild Berry, all I can smell is cherry cough syrup. I know this isn't true because other than the cherry flavor, there is nothing else that can resemble syrup, but the moment my nose smells cherries, my brain is tricked into thinking that this is cough syrup. I think it just ruins the whole experience. By the way, if you drinking it straight out of the can, you will not notice much of the cherry aroma. Pour it in a glass and you would think you have cough syrup in front of you.

Once you get past the aroma, the taste is very clean at first because you get nothing by carbonated water. However, shortly after comes this odd burnt-cherry flavor. It is very, very odd. The flavor didn't go away after a few sips, nor did it build up. Each sip had this odd burnt note to it. Not a fan. Other than that, there were no medicinal notes or a bad aftertaste.

Energy

There are 160 mg of caffeine in the can and the kick comes in gradually and can be felt within 15-20 minutes. I felt more alert and focused without any jitters. In another 10 minutes I was feeling super energetic but there were still no jitters. The effects lasted for around 3 hours and ended without a crash. The energy was very clean without any drama. Great!

Scores:
Cost - $1.99 from Target
Taste - 4.5/10
Energy - 8.1/10

Overall - 12.6/20...medicinal aroma, very odd flavor, but a great, clean energy boost

  1. Either you reviewed the wrong product or have the wrong picture, wild berry is in the pic not cherry.
