I got this drink from the local 7-11 for $2.89 CAD, which is $0.10 cheaper than the other energy drinks of the same format.
It smells like citrus fruits but on the sweeter side. The weird thing is that the energy drink is blue in color, not the orange color I was expecting. It does not, however, the base dominant taste is not citrusy. It tastes like blue jell-o, which will make this a sour blueberry drink...with citrus notes. I guess that will explain the blue color. The aftertaste is the same as the one you get from eating blue jell-o, but it doesn’t last as long. The fruity aftertaste disappears quickly and makes way for a milder aftertaste. There is a sour taste while drinking the beverage, and in the aftertaste, probably from all the citric acid added. The sour taste is not as strong as with some other energy drinks but it does compliment the overall taste quite nicely.
The can contains 116 mg of caffeine which is the same as a large can of Red Bull or the Beaver Buzz green tea energy drink. The caffeine gave me enough energy to wake up and proceed with my daily tasks, but you will definitely get more out of a Monster, and AMP, Full Throttle or a Rockstar.
