Eternal Energy Grape Review

On my most recent run to the US I stopped by a Wal-Mart near the border and found one of these in the pharmacy among the thousands of 5-hour shots.

Taste

The taste is a combination of dry, sour grape with an odd, medicinal-like kick back, which fortunately does not last very long. The sour grape taste is fantastic as it is very refreshing and ends on a semi-clean note. Since this shot contains no sugar, sweetener is present in the aftertaste, but not while you are drinking the shot.

Overall, this is an OK tasting shot which I had no problems keeping down.

Energy

Like every night this week, I had less than 6 hours of sleep last night so I thought this morning would be the perfect time to try this. The shot works like a charm. It took me about 5 minutes to go from a hazy, slightly distracted mind state to a more focused and alert state. This worked quicker than expected, but unlike what the label promised, I did start to experience a mild case of the jitters, but it didn't last very long. The energy kicked in fully in another 20 or so minutes and the effects were very clean. The shot isn't as strong as some of its competitors, but the energy it provided was very focused and usable for mental work. If you require a boost to do something physical, this may not be the shot for you.

Scores:
Cost - $0.99
Taste - 7/10
Energy - 8/10

Overall - 15/20...decent tasting, great focused energy
