Java Monster Originale Energy Drink Review

Today I am trying the other Monster I got from the 2 for 1 deal at 7-11. This one is called Originale and I assume it is the first Java Monster released. The label is darker than Mean Bean one so I expect it to be less milky in taste and more coffee like.

The beverage itself is considerably darker than the Mean Bean one. It looks like black tea with some milk rather than coffee. Sadly, this is also very milky, but with a bolder coffee taste. With this one you get more of the sugary taste while drinking and some is still present in the
aftertaste. The aftertaste here is more on the coffee side. Overall this tastes more like coffee than the Mean Bean, but is still very milky. Albeit the milkiness, I like this one better.

Aaah, the caffeine content. This one has 186 mg and it is not synthetic, it is from the coffee. Though technically this has more caffeine than the Mean Bean one, the boost is not too noticeable probably because you will crash around the same time thanks to the sugar jammed into this can.

Scores:
Cost - $3.49 CAD per can from 7-11, but I got this one from the 2 for 1 Monster promotion
Taste - 8.2/10
Energy - 8/10

Overall - 16.2/20...slightly better than the Mean Bean one due to the improved aftertaste and the slightly bolder coffee taste
